I am back after some very long break. I find it hard to believe that I have actually written 86 posts before I entered Form Six. Writing is not really my forte because it is hard to express yourself in words and make sure the other party get the message correctly. It's a relief that the MUET test has passed;I always have trouble writing the essay. I have decided to take up the challenge to write 360 words per day.
I found many websites that allow its users to write online and keep track of their own journal. From what I know, writing everyday regardless of the content will help to push one's ability to write. No matter how bad you write, dishing out those thoughts in your mind will help to make your day better. Our mind is like web of information, and sometimes congestion may happened. The practice of writing something everyday will help to clear up that block and make you think better.
Honestly, I hate to speak and write when I was in Lower Forms.Firstly, I have no confidence in my command of the language itself. At the same time, there is really no need for me to so. Lucky for me that I have 2 things that help to improve my condition:
1) Friends
It is incredibly important to have yourself surrounded by people who are enthusiastic, outspoken and confident. Hanging around with them helps to boost my self esteem and also my communicative ability. Suddenly, speaking is no longer a nightmare; they have taught me that speaking comes from your heart and no one should be deprived of the right to speak up.
2) Internet
This is both my mentor and friend. The Internet has taught me so many things. I will forever be indebted to the Internet community and people who are willing to share their knowledge. I am talking people like Salman Khan from Khan Academy, Scott Young, Cal Newport, people from Lifehacker and so much more. I watch and digest a lot of TED videos every week. It is both entertaining and mind-blowing;each speaker truly uphold the slogan "Ideas worth spreading" in their talks.
What's next ?
I believe many people can improve on their command of language by making lots of friends and use the Internet properly. There is a wealth of information out there waiting to be explored. I am learning so much everyday from topic like economics, psychology, business, IT and design. The learning style of tomorrow should based on holistic learning. We should treat knowledge as a web of information instead of a closely guarded vault. Ability to make connection between information separate the elitist from the amateurs. Lastly, I would like to say thank you to both my friends and Internet, because of you I managed to score band 6 for my school MUET exam(not the real one). Hopefully I can get the same result for the real MUET test
